The Forum of Augustus (Foro di Augusto in Italian) is one of the Imperial forum of Rome. It was built by Augustus and it was inaugurated in 2 BC. The Forum of Augustus is situated just in front of the Roman Forum and it was, in fact, created because the original Forum was already overcrowded. Here, there is a big temple dedicated to Mars, the Roman warfare god. You can either buy a ticket and get into the site, or see it walking from the street, via dei Fori Imperiali. From the outside, the view of the Forum is good enough to enjoy the site quickly and for free.
