Castel Nuovo, better known as Maschio Angioino is located in Naples and it’s an ancient castle, constructed in the 13th century. The castle is made with sandstone and exudes Gothic style architecture. It offers a mesmerizing view of the surrounding. Originally, the fortress act as the royal house of the Angioin royalty. It was then referred to as Castrum novum in order to differentiate it from the other existing castles. However, King Charles never lived in this castle.

By car

Come to Ring Road from the highway; take the exit for Centro-Porto. Drive via Marina till you reach Piazza Municipio

By bus

Take a Piazza Vittoria1 tram and get down at Piazza Municipio

Board a bus from Piazza Garibaldi R2 route and get down at Piazza MunicipioB

By train

Come to the railway station called Piazza Garibaldi and proceed to the 1 Line subway. After that, get off at a stop Toledo. Alternatively, take an R2 bus from Piazza Garibaldi and get off at Piazza Municipio
