Uffizi Gallery, Florence, Italy
One of the world’s most famous museums, the Uffizi Gallery is also one of the most ancient. Located in the city of Florence, millions of tourists visit it every year. Here you can explore some of the best art masterpieces. The building housing this museum was built by Cosimo I de’ Medici in 1560. As the museum features an immense collection of artwork, it is a good idea to hire an audio guide or even a tour guide for accompanying you while exploring the museum. IMPORTANT NOTE Before visiting the Uffizi Gallery, especially during peak seasons, it’s recommended to book tickets in advance so to avoid long queues. Large objects such as umbrellas, bags, and backpacks should be stored in the museum’s cloakroom before entering the museum. You don’t have to pay anything for storing your items here.
